Jamie Miller, the Global Senior VP and CIO at GE to Visit Strath­more University

Jamie Miller, the global Senior Vice Pres­id­ent & Chief Inform­a­tion Officer for GE will be com­ing on a brief busi­ness trip to visit Sub Saha­ran Africa (SSA). Part of her itin­er­ary will be to visit Strath­more Uni­veversity on 1st April 2014GE and Strath­more have a corporate-​academic part­ner­ship and this will be a unique oppor­tun­ity to for both parties to show­case the impact of this collaboration.

Jamie Miller’s BIO

Jamie Miller is Senior Vice Pres­id­ent and Chief Inform­a­tion Officer for GE. In this role, she is driv­ing GE’s global Inform­a­tion Tech­no­logy strategy, ser­vices and oper­a­tions, and aggress­ively deliv­er­ing innovative

and trans­form­a­tional solu­tions for GE, its cus­tom­ers and employ­ees. She pre­vi­ously served in the role of Vice Pres­id­ent, Con­trol­ler and Chief Account­ing Officer. She joined GE in April 2008.

Prior to join­ing GE, Ms. Miller served as the Senior Vice Pres­id­ent and Con­trol­ler of Well­Point, Inc., man­aging investor rela­tions, con­trol­ler­ship, fin­an­cial plan­ning and ana­lysis, tax and fin­an­cial sys­tems for the com­pany and was a part­ner at Price­wa­ter­house­Coopers LLP in a num­ber of roles. A gradu­ate from Miami Uni­ver­sity in Oxford, Ohio, Ms. Miller serves on Oracle’s President’s Coun­cil and is a mem­ber of the Sut­ter Hill Ven­tures Cus­tomer Advis­ory Board and CIO Strategy Exchange.

She and her hus­band have three children.
